Jim and Dayna wanted a bench style monument, but wanted something that felt more.. aged, rather than modern. With that, we used a rough finish to everything except the seat itself, then broke off the right end of it for that not-so-polished look. They also needed to accommodate the potential for future burials on the plot. To accomplish this, we cored a double chamber for ashes in the cylindrical portion of the monument to allow space in the grounds for children – with the intent to add inscriptions on the front and back of the bench seat. This way, if nothing is ever added, the monument never feels incomplete.
