Jim started off doodling a rough sketch of the monument like he always loved to do. Then it was brought to his attention that even though he wasn’t trying to but he had made the shape of the stone into a bell. So he took off with this idea and really made it look like a bell. The sculpture of Christ’s head came from a sketch from an artist they had meet in Chicago. Jim feel and love with the idea right away and asked him if he could use his concept on his personal monument.
