This memorial is for Joyce; a mother, wife, grandma & great-grandma.
There were many fond memories shared by her grandchildren. While visiting there was one thing always present; the depression era glass candy bowl.
I took inspiration from the glass bowl and created a monument where the left side is carved in an organic, elegant flow as a way to represent the bowl’s shape.
It is presented in Pink Granite with a custom carved granite vase with soft scalloped edges that ties in with the shape of the bowl; complimenting the upright.
It is finished off with a matching base
