The MICHALSKI memorial was design for a son who had a very difficult life. He was in and out of many hospitals, even in more than one city for the best children’s care. This design was altered many times to fit within the families limited budget. We always kept it within a single grave memorial size, just with more details and design. What was most important is what is left. A classic well balanced memorial to fit in, but stand out, in this rural cemetery. The city scape at the joint represent Peter’s imagination and hope for travel. While the large building is from the Boston Skyline, where he spent most of his time looking at through his hospital window on many visits to help with his illness. The clean all steel gray granite with with centered inscription and blued flat carving helps draw the needed attention to it.
