Cole

Mr. and Mrs. Cole visited Yosemite National Park at least once a year during their married life. After Mr. Cole died, Mrs. Cole approached us to create a bronze memorial using Yosemite as the theme. However, it turned into a 9 year project! Mrs. Cole brought us over 150 photographs the couple had taken over the years. From this we distilled them down to their favorite parts of the Park – the view from the tunnel as you enter the park, Half Dome, Bridal Vail Falls and the Valley Floor, plus a few animals – a horse, rabbits, foxes, eagles and scrub jay. Mrs. Cole did not want her name on the memorial and her will calls for a new bronze memorial to be made at her passing, that includes her name and dates.
