D’Amico

This unique monument was created to capture the spirit of two unique individuals and yet combine them in a balanced and beautiful way. Marlene and Kelly have been together for many years and have now planned all their final arrangements. They are very different in their passions which are illustrated in the design work, flowing vertically on both sides. Each has their own etching also depicting these interests. Marlene’s love for music is symbolized in the vertical music notes and an etching of her playing the drums. Kelly’s love of nature is symbolized in the flowing vertical vine of flowers and her etching shows Kelly hiking her favorite trail. The shape of the stone was also deliberate in that it is a cremation block that will hold the two together for eternity. The two sides engraved are all polished while the back two sides remain rock pitch. The rock pitch adds more appeal to the stone rather than having it all polished.
