Don and Jennifer were looking to prearrange their memorial. They knew their memorial would be placed directly between Don’s parents’ memorial and his grandparents’ memorial. It was important to them both to have something “nice” but at the same time they wanted something “different”; they wanted it to be THEIRS. Working from their Christian faith as a starting point, they their desire to be “in the family” We tied the rose carvings from the grandparents’ memorial with the cross theme of his parents while still cultivating a “simple” desire he and Jenny had for their own memorial. Creating space for their wedding date was the real challenge and ultimately the reason for adding the additional plinth for the family name.
