Elizabeth Pickens Monument

The Pickens family had the daunting task of designing a monument for their daughter due to a car accident. Elizabeth was 19 and had her whole life ahead of her. They were immediately drawn to Salisbury Pink granite. They liked the permanence of a bronze rose versus a vase for flowers. The broken texture cameo draws your eye to the rose, and anchors it visually. The simple, matte finish sub-base adds height without the heaviness of a taller tablet.
