As we discussed Mr. Henry’s monument, he showed us some items that were meaningful to him. He laid an old white uniform shirt across the desk and lined a few patches up next to it. Each patch embroidered with the name of a city and the fireman’s shield. Mr. Henry has spent much of his career in service to his community as a firefighter. He wanted to commemorate each department and association he was a part of throughout the years with their respective emblems. The raised department emblems stand out along the bottom of the monument, mimicking the look of the patches he wore proudly.
