Lucy’s mother wanted to focus the memorial around the meaning of her name which is “Light”. In order to emphasize the word “light” we chose to use bronze letters so, that they would reflect light and have a radiating effect. The frosted portion represents a ray of light shining outward. Her monument is intended to mirror another memorial for her brothers and complete the diamond shape.
