Marzano slant alternate concept

I was approached by a friend’s family for her husband who recently passed. They didn’t think there was room on the family lot to mark his grave. I checked the lot and came up with several concepts for a unique memorial. He was a worship leader at our church and the guitar and bible verse were very important.
I did the carving based on his personal guitar. We looked for the best contrast on the stone to set that off. Broken texture on the left side draws attention to the guitar and simple but effective lettering stands out on the right side. All work was done in house by hand.
