Morse Bench

Categories: ,

Benches have changed a lot over the years. The Morse family wanted a bench, but in order to have it sit on the plot where she rested, it had to fit within the size restrictions. Not to mention a harp leg bench was not who Mary Morse was. She was the rock or keystone that held her family together. We knew that the Keystone shape would be instrumental to the design of her bench. Using a grey pedestal and seat, we created an elegant canvas to start with. We flanked the keystone with the rough Missouri Red boulders to accent the color and show to soften the look of the keystone pedestal.

Mary loved those classic Christmas cards. She collected many. The details on there were designed to fit that style of what she loved. The engaged letters on the seat were to also follow that same style.
