Roy, a purpleheart veteran, was confined to a wheelchair, but that did not define him. A devout Christian showed by the necklace he wore around his neck. With big broad shoulders, he competed in several National Veterans Wheelchair Games and medaled many times in the events shown. He was an avid and successful deer hunter and loved to fix up cars. A mentor to fellow handicapped brothers, a wonderful father, and husband. May his blessings and memories continue to bear fruit.
