The O’Neill family came to us with an issue they were not sure how to handle. Benjamin was to be buried in a family plot next to his mother. However, his young bride was not sure if she would remarry or not. We did not want to include her name on the stone, but wanted there to be a place there for her should she choose to be there later. The family wanted the focal point to be Benjamin. We created this cantilevered design that allowed for each individual to have their own stone and gave us the ability to pull the top stone to be engraved at a later date to either add a name, art or a scripture verse. Cantilevered out with a 23″ overhang, this stone also shows the structural side of Benjamin as an engineer and creates his mother as the cornerstone and foundation of the family.
