A young baby needed something creative to assuage the grief of the newly wedded parents. We were asked to give them something that no one would be able to imagine or imitate. The bench is Gem Mist and Barre Gray with a unique cut to the pedestal. The key to the memorial’s uniqueness is the spinning, 16″ cubes. The cubes mimic building blocks and spell out the name of the boy. They are perfectly balanced and rotate independently of one another. The bottom cube contains a Lexan glass-enclosed toy box so the surviving siblings have something to leave. The boxes are 85% polished for a reason – the family wanted to write on the boxes and leave messages from time to time. Sharpie pens can be used and erased with acetone.
