Rosenberg Woodgrain

Categories: ,

Ever the carpenter, Mr. Rosenberg was known around town for the things he could build. Wanting to represent this somewhere, we chose to make it appear as the name panel of the stone was a plank of oak. Leaving the name polished and engraving the outline around the name and the wood grain helped to establish those darker tones in the grain.

Notching the top for a vase core, and beveling the outside cuts, we chose to carry those bevels to the bottom corners of the die as well as the base to keep the continuity of the design. The starburst band helps to differentiate the family panel from the given names.
