These clients came to us and said they purchase one major piece of art per year and this year the ‘piece of art’ was going to be their headstone. The only stipulation was it had to be a bench but it couldn’t be ‘traditional’. Other than vague guidance, we were free to design a work of art. The bench is Jet Mist but the cynosure is the two stainless arches that support the granite. The arches are wider than the granite and are stabilized by the heat-treated stainless crosses on the front and back. The flow of the arches makes for a unique cut to the granite and is an artistic way to utilize a ‘leg’. The bench is over 6′ long and is simply adorned. The clients loved the design and it will be ready for placement summer of 2024.
