Socol

The Socol family greatly valued their Jewish faith and wanted that to be reflected in the design. The monument is a compilation of textures and shapes. The family name is raised polished lettering. A raised Star of David stands out against the sawn face and recessed check behind it. Smooth and rough surfaces seamlessly complement and balance each other. Along the crest sits a polished contour. The base is both sawn and rock-pitched, creating contrast on the curve. Being the 2nd monument in this new section, Socol sets a precedent for future monuments to come.
