In the powerlifting and strong man and women’s circles, the Todd’s are known around the world. They are writers, world record holders, historians of Physical Culture, coaches, mentors, commentators and so much more.
The tablet’s rough rock represents strength. The shape represents strong broad shoulders; the recessed foot creates movement as the broad shoulders are beginning to lift the barbell (an exact replica of an antique barbell on display at the Stark Center for Physical Culture and Sports, a museum that the Todd’s created in Austin Texas.). The broken marble column is symbolic of a life ended before its time is the centerpiece. The bronze plaque is designed to add Jan’s story at a later date. The monument is 8-6 x 1-4 x 3-6, the largest size the cemetery would allow. “Don’t weaken”
